Play, try out, ask questions – Vienna’s Game City is opening its doors again. From October 11 to 13, 2024, everything in the town hall, just a stone’s throw from the Hotel Zipser, will revolve around gaming. The Game City in Vienna’s town hall offers video game fans, gamers and cosplayers an extensive information and entertainment program.

Gamer-Paradise at Vienna Town Hall

In addition to trying out the latest games at the stands of well-known game manufacturers, various eSports athletes, manufacturers, as well as institutions of the City of Vienna and training centers on the subject of gaming are happy to answer questions from visitors to Game City. The stand operators use colored wristbands to identify which people are allowed into which stand area. This allows gamers to enter the areas that are appropriate for their age.

In the children’s zone, the wienXtra-spielebox, children aged 4 to 12 are offered a colorful and varied program of console games and computer games. In the children’s zone there is also an area for parents to relax while the children play, read or try out new things. Of course, parents or accompanying persons are also invited to play along.

Cosplay Parade

The absolute highlight, as every year, is the cosplay parade. During the cosplay, video game and film fans slip into the role of their favorite characters and dress up, for example, as an assassin from Assassin’s Creed or as a Reaver from the Fable series.

Entry to Game City in Vienna City Hall is free.
