Back in 1967 the Eurovision Song Contest was still staged at the Imperial Hofburg. Now in 2015 considerably more visitors are expected, and the main events will take place in the Wiener Stadthalle – Halle D – from 19th to 23rd of May. Apart from the Live Event you will be able to attend other performances such as the Family Shows in the afternoon and the Jury Shows on the eve of the Live Event. The world’s greatest Television-Event in Vienna – the Song-Contest-Fever will certainly take over, and many visitors from all over the world are expected.
Apart from the Stadthalle, also the Rathausplatz will become a centre of the Song Contest. The “Eurovision Village” will not only host the Opening Ceremony, but also Live Performances by the contestants and DJs, and Special Events and Public Viewing of all the Live Shows of the Song Contest will take place there.

Furthermore, the parties for guests in the so called “Euro Club” will be held in the Ottakringer Brewery in the 16th District, which we visited when we looked at the Feschmarkt. But you can rest assured that during this time all sorts of “Euro-Parties” will be taking place in all other party locations of Vienna.

Whoever wants to snatch a ticket for one of the Semi-Final Shows should be quick about it – according to the motto “First clicked – First served” you can buy the tickets here at Oeticket. Very important to note: The tickets have to be sent to an Austrian address.

The tickets for the Final Show are not as yet available online. It could not be established, when exactly this will be the case – but probably within the next few months. We are excited!

If you are still on the look-out for accommodation within the vicinity of the events, then you would find yourself well looked after in our house. From Hotel Zipser it only takes you about 5 minutes on foot to reach the “Eurovision Village.”

Whenever you want to go to the Stadthalle to experience the Song Contest you will be able to reach it within about 15 to 20 minutes with public transport.

Public transport to the Stadthalle Wien

• No. 2 tram to Lerchenfelderstraße and then the U6 (underground) in the direction of Siebenhirten up to Stadthalle / Burggasse
• No. 5 tram to Westbahnhof Station Kaiserstraße and then the U6 in the direction of Siebenhirten up to Stadthalle / Burggasse
• If you prefer to take a taxi, you will be there in about 8 minutes.

The Ottakringer Brewery, and the “Euro-Club” located there, can be reached from the hotel in 20 minutes with tram No. 2.
