“The Rocky Horror Picture Show” – THE cult trash musical turns 47 years old! From February 15, 2022, the freaky, weird rock’n’roll musical about travesty and seduction can be seen in it´s original version in Vienna’s MuseumsQuartier (MQ) under the title Richard O’Brien’s Rocky Horror Show.

Over 20 million people in more than 30 countries have experienced the crazy musical for adults since it premiered in London in 1973. The famous film adaptation »The Rocky Horror Picture Show« finally helped the bizarre story to its current cult status.

The story tells of lovers Brad Majors and Janet Weiss who go to a nearby castle for help after a flat tire. There they meet the extraterrestrial scientist Dr. Frank N. Furter of the planet Transsexual of the galaxy Transylvania, showing his guests his newest creation: the muscular creature Rocky. This increasingly bizarre story is accompanied and interspersed with cult hits such as “The Time Warp” or “Sweet Transvestite”. Sky du Mont as narrator leads through the story in German, the songs are sung in the original English.
